The Bridge, Castlenau

For our first formal effort in the search for the best, or at least our favorite Sunday Lunch, we selected the Bridge in Castlenau.

We stumbled across The Bridge while walking along the Thames Path on already full stomachs a few weeks ago. Given the excellent weather today, it was an ideal day to have a another walk down the path and try the Bridge.


We arrived to find that The Bridge also has an outdoor terrace, which we missed when we passed by earlier. It isn't captured by this picture, so you'll have to just take my word for it. This picture was taken from the lower side of the terrace and shows the side of the pub and the upper part of the terrace.

Unfortunately, we didn't last outside for long. The sun went behind the clouds for a bit, and we sought refuge in the warmer environs of the pub itself.

Darren went with the Roast (pork), and I opted for the Burger. Both were excellent.
